As a member of the Cloud Advisory Services team, the Salesforce Solution Architect is a big-picture thinker and an in-depth problem solver responsible for owning the architecture and design and delivering complex cloud-based solutions (e.g., integration, security, custom development). You take pride in designing systems that stand up to anything. You see issues before they become issues, even when scaling from one to a million customers. You are a trusted digital advisor architecting Salesforce solutions and positioning Innovate! solutions with senior-level clients that demonstrate expertise in customer experience (CX) and customer relationship management (CRM) technologies to ensure excellent solutions delivery.
The Salesforce Solution Architect comprehends Salesforce delivery, cost models, and security features and ensures programs accurately meet the defined expectations, are delivered on time and in scope. You will manage stakeholder expectations, perform hands-on design, and modification to extend capabilities offered by the Salesforce platform. Build customized Salesforce applications, apply technical expertise, confirm technical design risks, and develop mitigating approaches to build and refine business logic to enhance team capabilities, improve security, and maximize Salesforce ROI. You will have the freedom to work remotely and independently while still being an integral part of an elite, tight knit team.
Identify, design, develop and integrate software components with end-to-end implementation on the SFDC platform and other technical implementations for our clients into the overall strategic and project plans.
Create Lightning Components, Apex Classes, unit test classes, process builders, schemas, user interfaces, batch jobs, test data, deployment scripts.
Consult and collaborate with other developers on Salesforce code, configurations, design solutions, technical documentation, test classes, user interfaces.
Efficiently and effectively troubleshoot bugs and other anomalies, both in your own code and in that of others
Think logically, methodically and clearly through complex problems, requiring sustained attention to detail.
Confidently lead discussions on integrations and commonly used middleware options and collaborate with senior leaders, planning teams, project managers, and/or project teams to create, evaluate, communicate, and implement designs that enhance the client’s strategy, their key projects, and other steady state activities that enhance or support the overall productivity and long-range objectives across the Agency.
Identify and lead internal strategic initiatives to grow the consulting practice, serving as an active contributor to the overall knowledge base and expertise of the community.
Define the system landscape to identify gaps between current and desired end-states and create and deliver a CRM solution in a timely and accurate fashion utilizing CRMs and workflow solutions using Salesforce/Apex, Force, Visualforce and J2EE technologies
Design transformational technical solutions and work directly with customers to meet their business requirements in accordance with industry best practices.
Demonstrate progressive leadership in the full life cycle of the software development environment.
Develop Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools for Salesforce and conduct fit and gap analyses to support data element mappings.
Using UML diagrams, design documentation and best-practice methodologies; you will be responsible for the detailed design of Salesforce related projects from inception through production support.
Ensure the system accurately meets the defined expectations of the business unit, ensuring that proper testing is implemented, and performance requirements are closely monitored by working with the development teams.
Scope technical portions of the project based on the information provided during the sales and delivery project phases.
Designing scalable and reusable data models, Aura and Lightning Web Component Applications as well as Visualforce pages that meet project requirements and include data migration strategies when moving from legacy systems to Salesforce.
Create all technical project documentation including technical architecture diagrams and data process flows.
Define appropriate environment strategy and release plans, given the project requirements.
Communicate information regularly, clearly, and effectively to impacted internal and client stakeholders throughout the duration of the program on technical matters and technology to include design, development, delivery progress, and completion.
Maintain knowledge level about new and emerging technologies and/or methodologies.
Additional responsibilities as needed to support client and internal team release management needs.
Bachelor's Degree or minimum 5 years of industry experience as a Salesforce.com developer or architect
12 years in a consulting capacity with a minimum of 5 years at a consulting company
At least 4 years of experience in Architecture role - SFDC or other CRM architecture experience a plus
Experience in Salesforce (SFDC) CRM with end-to-end implementation experience.
Programming experience with the following languages, J2EE, HTML XML, SQL, Oracle.
At least 4 years’ experience with Integration technologies using both Web based technologies (Soap, Rest) and Integration/Middleware tools such as Informatica, Jitterbit and MuleSoft
At least 5 years of experience working on deployment teams throughout the project lifecycle, ideally using Agile, Scrum and Waterfall methods
Certified Salesforce Systems Architect or Certified Salesforce Application Architect required
Certified Salesforce Developer and Architect Certifications a plus
Knowledge of options and how to handle security requirements and concepts such as single sign on and data security
Experience with development technologies such as Apex/VF, JAVA, .Net, Ruby, JS, jQuery, Angular.js, Objective C
Strong experience with configuration, customization, programming with APEX APIs, APEX Triggers, and implementing new instances of Salesforce.com from scratch.
Strong practical deployment knowledge of VisualForce, Flex, Salesforce configurations, Apex classes, APEX Web services, API, AppExchange deployment, and Salesforce.com s-controls.
Experience with Release Management, Source Control, and Deployment concepts and technologies such as ANT, SFDC Metadata API, Jenkins, SVN
Experience in designing and developing software components and having a very strong Service Oriented Architecture and integration background.
Experience with Salesforce, including Service Cloud, Community Cloud, Apex or Salesforce Lightning, and Salesforce.com integration experience, including between different business systems as well as working with integration tools.
Highly organized, energetic, and inquisitive self-starter professional
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and collaborative skills.
Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a team-based environment.
Federal Government contracting experience with a consulting organization is preferred.
Strong, detail-oriented team player with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, equally comfortable with crafting emails as leading a white-board discussion with customers or delivering a technical presentation
Attention to detail and love of documentation a plus
Willingness to be customer facing and NOT have hands in org configuration.
Experience working in a remote, distributed team-based delivery environment, preferable in agile scrum teams.
Demonstrate adherence to all the Salesforce.com best practices.
