The Salesforce Business Analyst will be responsible for providing client requirements and development support via direct client interaction across a broad range of Salesforce applications. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter that can perform well independently, interact with clients professionally, and collaborate with diverse internal and external teams. We are looking to hire someone that can wear many hats on different projects and is responsible for requirements gathering, Salesforce configuration, testing, training, and post deployment support.
The Salesforce Business Analyst is part of a team responsible for the planning, delivery, launch, and ongoing optimization of Salesforce environments and ecosystems for our clients. You will work with business stakeholders to understand pain points, gather requirements, identify improvements, identify design, and implement changes to our Salesforce ecosystem and related processes, execute functional testing, and ensure successful launch with post deployment support. You will be working alongside Salesforce Product Owners, Administrators, and Developers to deliver the vision for the client’s Salesforce ecosystem by contributing analytical expertise that enables flexibility and scalability in the future.
Support the current team in building a cohesive, streamlined, and quality solution.
Capture, evaluate and groom business requirements to create a clear business process and workflow, create clear user stories and solution deliverables with the required information to identify the best solution to implement the requirement(s).
Provide quality user experience with professional demeanor and excellent communication skills.
Gather, synthesize, and define business requirements and convert requirements to code.
Work collaboratively in an agile environment to design solutions for government clients, including collaboration with developers.
Work with end user stakeholders to gather, understand and define requirements.
Develop problem solutions by defining process flows and understanding Salesforce system capabilities.
Create reports and analyzing data to guide and support changes to the system or processes.
Work with stakeholders and manager to understand and set priorities.
Provide clear communication to stakeholders, team members and managers of project updates, key milestones, and status progression.
Perform functional testing to verify the solution meets the needs of the business.
Coordinate user-acceptance testing and sign-off for process and system changes.
Lead and/or participate in meetings including project kickoff and progress sessions, requirements gathering and definition, technical solutioning, user acceptance testing, and end user training.
Maintain knowledge level about new and emerging technologies and/or methodologies.
Additional responsibilities as needed to support client and internal team release management needs.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or equivalent work experience
2+ years of experience in a related field as a business analyst, business systems analyst, or related business process improvement function
Excellent problem-solving and collaborative skills
Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a team-based environment.
Government contracting experience with a consulting organization is a plus.
Strong, detail-oriented team player with exceptional writing and communication skills (including presentation development)
Having an inquisitive mindset required.
Attention to detail and love of documentation a plus.
Willingness to be customer facing and NOT have hands in org configuration.
Experience or working knowledge on Salesforce implementation through the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) using Agile methodologies.
Experience working in a remote team-based delivery environment, preferable in agile scrum teams.
Demonstrate adherence to all the Salesforce.com best practices.
