Salesforce Project Manager


Location: Remote, US

Job Description:


The Salesforce Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple complex Salesforce projects from scoping and prioritizing the Salesforce digital transformation through to delivery and into support. You will work closely with our clients, updating them with communications, organizing and sharing roadmaps and other content, and working cross-functionally with product owners, other project managers, and business analysts.  You are responsible for driving the schedule for the full project life cycle, including project kickoff and upfront strategy & planning, requirements definition and solution design, to technical implementation, testing, launch and ongoing activation & support of online communities. 


RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Own full project life cycle including establish detailed project scope, define engagement milestones, monitor project execution, assess risk, drive activities, measure success, etc. in process, people, and/or technology based on Innovate!’s delivery methodologies.
  • Drive high-quality Cloud solutions while monitoring and managing project budget, scope, schedule, and resources to ensure the project stays on track for assigned client projects.
  • Manage data and execute business processes such as timesheet entry, resource forecasting, utilization analysis, expense management and tracking.
  • Cultivate and manage highly functional teams assigned to your engagements to execute engagement work plans and drive elite deliverables through all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle that satisfy customer requirements, objectives and/or acceptance criteria.
  • Work creatively and analytically in a collaborative environment, establishing best practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities.
  • Guide the team on self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks while removing impediments and managing outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies.
  • Leverage a solid understanding of the Salesforce product suite to validate key design options and present proposal solution designs and implementations, including conducting technical and process design workshops with project teams and SMEs across the business.
  • Facilitates regular status meetings with project team, sponsors, and other relevant stakeholders. Manage the overall client relationship, have full command of the client business model, and demonstrate respect and responsiveness to client needs serving as primary, day-to-day point of contact during engagements.
  • Develop and assist team members in the delivery of client proposals, documentation, and presentations for multiple audiences, during requirements, design, pilot, and user acceptance testing sessions. Review deliverables prepared by the team before sharing with the client.
  • Regularly communicate status updates effectively to impacted external and internal stakeholders.  Tailor communications to all levels within the organization throughout the duration of the program on technical matters and technology to include design, key accomplishments, development, issues/risks/items for management attention, project financials, delivery progress, and completion.
  • Maintain knowledge level about new and emerging technologies and/or methodologies.
  • Additional responsibilities as needed to support client and internal team release management needs.

QUALIFICATIONS
 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, information systems, or equivalent
  • Certified Project Management Professional and Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant a plus
  • 10+ years of Project Management experience delivering technology implementation projects using both waterfall and agile methodologies
  • 4+ years of Salesforce implementation experience including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Communities, and Integrations utilizing proven project management processes and framework
  • Knowledge of various project management tools, such as Jira, Confluence, and Asana
  • Experience as a Scrum Master over more than one Agile team at a time, Certified/Professional Scrum Master a plus
  • Highly organized, energetic, and inquisitive self-starter professional
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and collaborative skills.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a team-based environment.
  • Federal Government contracting experience with a consulting organization is preferred.
  • Strong, detail-oriented team player with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, equally comfortable with crafting emails as leading a white-board discussion with customers or delivering a technical presentation
  • Attention to detail and love of documentation a plus
  • Willingness to be customer facing and NOT have hands in org configuration.
  • Experience working in a remote, distributed team-based delivery environment, preferable in agile scrum teams.
  • Demonstrate adherence to all the Salesforce.com best practices.
